Tim is a devoted public servant and long-time resident of Cambridge where he and his wife Colleen raised their two sons. Tim is inspired by his two grandchildren to represent our Minnesota 28A community and work for common solutions that benefit people over politics.
He grew up in New Brighton, Minnesota, attended De La Salle High School in Minneapolis and worked construction for six years with St. Paul Painters Union Local 61. Tim then earned a Bachelor of Science in education and a Master’s in Education and taught middle school in Cambridge-Isanti District 911 for more than 20 years. His teaching experience includes two years of teaching American military children at Neubrucke Army/Air Force Base in Germany.
Tim has served our community through Common Ground, a United Methodist Community, Isanti County Pheasants Forever Chapter 334, and as a long-time instructor with Isanti County Youth Firearms. In his spare time, Tim loves to be active outdoors whether hunting, hiking, biking or skiing.
Years of being a trusted teacher is good training for state government! Tim will listen, be approachable, and easily connect with people. He is attuned to the needs of others and finds potential in everyone. Tim knows how to bridge gaps, bringing people together to get to the root of problems and solve them together.
